Sunday 28th February –
The Second Sunday of Lent

Additional Collect

Almighty God,
by the prayer and discipline of Lent
may we enter into the mystery of Christ’s sufferings,
and by following in his Way
come to share in his glory;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen

Holy Habits – Bible Teaching

Open your Bible index, and find a book you haven’t read before or don’t know very well. Set aside some time each day, and choose a particular place to read – somewhere comfortable and private. Try to read the whole book over the week (if it’s a very long book, read as much as you can comfortably manage). Try journalling your reflections and questions as you go.

Please pray for

The sick, among them Anthony Gibson Watt and all affected by the coronavirus.

Pray for the NHS, care workers and all front line workers and volunteers. We pray for race equality and for all victims of race crime and brutality. Pray for everyone shielding on their own or unable to be with their family.

Remember all those who have died recently including Ian Hughes. We remember those whose anniversary of death occurs at this time including Jean Hodge, John Hibbert, Peter Henry.

Taking it in turns to pray for each other – this week we pray for St Minver.

The Julian Group

We return to our Julian Meetings on the last Thursday in the month, still having to meet in our individual homes at 7pm, as we still cannot meet face to face.
