Sunday 16th May – The Seventh Sunday of Easter

Additional Collect

Risen, ascended Lord,
as we rejoice at your triumph,
fill your Church on earth with power and compassion,
that all who are estranged by sin
may find forgiveness and know your peace,
to the glory of God the Father, Amen

Holy Habits – Making Disciples

Read Mark 14:32-42 (Jesus in Gethsemane). Are there ways you have “fallen asleep” in your discipleship? Spend some time praying about how God is calling you to follow him at the moment.

Sunday Services

We are delighted to be able to offer public worship in all of our churches again.

For regular Sunday services, there will be no need to book in advance, although places are still limited.

Please follow all of the safety advice you are given when you attend, and do not come if you are ill. Everyone attending church services must wear a face mask, except for those legally exempt.

Please pray for

The sick and all affected by the coronavirus.

Pray for the NHS, care workers and all front line workers and volunteers. We pray for race and gender equality and for all victims of race or gender crime and brutality. Pray for everyone on their own or unable to be with their family.

Remember all those who have died recently including Ian Honey, Gillian Millan and William Harkness. We remember those whose anniversary of death occurs at this time including Rosemary Castle, Noel Godwin, Rosemary Ricketts and Ted Childs.

Taking it in turns to pray for each other – this week we pray for St Kew.

Home Groups and Daily Prayer

Our Home Groups are staying in touch via phone, email and social media. We are praying regularly, especially at 9am. If you would like hard copies of spiritual resources, or need help getting on to facebook, please contact
Revd Rose (01208 592353 – revrosejones@gmail.com).

Not your average Archdeacon licensing!

The new Archdeacon of Bodmin, Revd Kelly Betteridge, will be licensed in unique style, at a Pentecost celebration this month. The interactive, all-age service will especially welcome children and young people, and will be held at St Petroc’s Church, Bodmin at 4pm on May 23.

We are asking all those attending to wear something red to the service and to bring on an A4 sheet of paper, a drawing or a piece you have written about something worth celebrating in your church or community. Make it as brightly coloured as you can!

More details will be available on the diocesan website in the coming weeks including where you can watch online if you cannot be there in person.

Goods for St Petrocs

As it is not possible to have collection boxes in the churches at the moment this is a reminder that St. Minver Post Office is an alternative collecting point.

The best way to help the Bodmin branch of St Petrocs to buy fresh food is electronically.  Details for doing this have changed as Bodmin has a new House Manager, Gary Hales.
Put www.morrisonsgiftcards.com into Google and send your donation to gary.hales@stpetrocs.org.uk

SAVE THE DATE

St Endellion and St Peter’s Port Isaac churches are planning to hold a Fete on Wednesday 11th August in St.Endellion Hall and garden. Obviously this can only take place if all Covid restrictions have been lifted and everyone involved is happy with the situation at the time.  Watch this space!
