The Dante Quartet, one of the UK’s finest ensembles, is known for its imaginative programming and impassioned performances. The wide age-range of the Quartet’s members creates an exciting blend of youthful enthusiasm with richness of experience and consummate technical skill. The Quartet has been honoured with the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Chamber Music and has received international awards for its recordings.
They are frequently heard on Radio 3, and have appeared many times at the Wigmore Hall and Kings Place, as well as at the UK’s foremost festivals. They have performed widely in Europe and in Japan.
The Quartet has set up a centre for the development of young chamber music groups here in North Cornwall. A central focus of their year is the Dante Summer Festival, held in various locations in the Tamar Valley. This year’s dates are 10-15 July.
