Sunday 6th December –
Second Sunday of Advent

Additional Collect

Almighty God,
purify our hearts and minds,
that when your Son Jesus Christ comes again as
judge and saviour
we may be ready to receive him,
who is our Lord and our God, Amen

Holy Habits –  Fellowship

Different members choose the readings each week. Thursday 10th December Psalm 71 v 1-2 and Ephesians Ch 3 v 14-19.

Please pray for

The sick, among them Claudia Tom and all affected by the coronavirus.

Pray for the NHS, care workers and all front line workers and volunteers. We pray for race equality and for all victims of race crime and brutality.

Remember all those who have died recently including Jane Windeler, Richard Vyvyan Robinson, Hylton Chapman and Olive Hampton. We remember those whose anniversary of death occurs at this time.

Taking it in turns to pray for each other – this week we pray for St Minver.

A message from Revd Rose

I’m really pleased to be able to share with you the news that I am pregnant! Claire and I are excited to welcome the new arrival next June. Unfortunately I have been very unwell with a pregnancy-related condition called hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of nausea and vomiting, and I would welcome your prayers for this to ease so I can get back to work and normal life.
Revd Rose Jones

We wish Rose and Claire every blessing at this hope filled, yet demanding time, and continue to surround them with our love and prayers.
Revd Elizabeth

The Bible Course

An eight-session course helping you explore the world’s bestseller.

The Bible is a big and complicated book to read and for many it can be difficult to know where to start. Maybe you’ve been part of a Bible study group and want to build your confidence so you can study the Bible on your own, or maybe you need help connecting together the bits you’ve been reading. The Bible Course is a great resource, whether you are familiar with the Bible or just starting out.

The Bible Course helps you see how the books of the Bible are part of one big story.

Using a unique storyline, The Bible Course will show you how key events, books and characters fit together.
The video teaching, course guide and daily readings will help you grow in confidence as you read the Bible for yourself.

Acts as a great follow-on resource for those who have done introductory courses like Alpha and Christianity Explored.

This is an online course via zoom, which is very easy to use and you will be sent a link each week to join the group from the comfort of your own home.

We will start on Tuesday evenings from 26th January
