First Sunday of Advent

Additional Collect

Almighty God,
as your kingdom dawns,
turn us from the darkness of sin to the
light of holiness,
that we may be ready to meet you
in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen

Holy Habits –  Fellowship

Personal Christmas cards are a real blessing to many people.  It is tempting to think only Covid happened this year but we are carriers of Good News and of Hope.  Think of how you can include your good news and hope in the cards you send this year.

Different members choose the readings each week. Thursday 3rd December Psalm 84 vv 1-7 and Luke 17 vv 1-10.

Please pray for

The sick, among them Claudia Tom and Rosalind Smith and all affected by the coronavirus.

Pray for the NHS, care workers and all front line workers and volunteers. We pray for race equality and for all victims of race crime and brutality.

Remember all those who have died recently including Jane Windeler, Richard Vyvyan Robinson, Hylton Chapman and Olive Hampton. We remember those whose anniversary of death occurs at this time including Alan Park.

Taking it in turns to pray for each other – this week we pray for St Kew.
